sigma 70-210mm 2.8 APO for nikon

<p>hello! i would like to ask if anyone can tell me if i can use the sigma 70-210mm 2.8 APO on a nikon D80, or if someone uses this lens on a nikon D80 and does it work. from what i know it doesn't work with the new digital bodies. thank you!</p>

<p>I have that lens -- it works on my D50. Can't speak for the D80 though -- but I am thinking there is a better than good chance that it would work there as well.</p>

<p>If it works on a D50, it works on a D80. They have the same level of compatibility.</p>

<p>I owned a Sigma 70-210 Apo for Minolta AF mount. The colors from this lens were better than that from any Nikon lens I can recall owning. I just wish Sigma could build a lbit better mechanical quality into their lenses.</p>

<p>I have a Sigma 50-150 f/2.8 HSM EX II that I use on a D90 and on a D60. It's very sharp, well built, and a lot smaller and lighter than any 70-200 f/2.8. You should consider it if you don't need 200mm.</p>

I have that lens. I use it on both my Nikons D80 and D90. It is a good lens. The autofocus hunts a little in low light situations but you should have no problems with the lens. Good luck.</p>
