How are Leica R 1.4x and 2x APO extenders

<p>Hi anyone ever compare the image quality of the Leica Apo extenders to the non Apo version or other brand extenders? Thanks Dennis</p>

<p>The APO extenders are superb. They do degrade the image quality, but it is by quite a small amount. They are completely usable, however and they provide a great addition to the kit. These two photos are both taken with the 180/2.8 APO and the 2x APO converter. I have not used other converters that maintain the image quality as well. </p>

Here is a 100% crop from the second. I believe this was around f/4 on the lens (so f/8 overall)<br>

I believe that is also without sharpening. </p>

<p>Stuart's right. I have both and they are stunning.</p>
