Happy Wednesday Nikonians!
I took this image while on Safari (Kenya, Tsavo West National Park) on a Photo Safari that I led. This was in the evening on the patio relaxing after a fun full day at Tsavo National Park. Simba Marara Safaris (www.smsafaris.com) for more images. Enjoy the Geico!
Taken on Nikon D80, Lens 18 - 200 mm. Manual Mode @ 200mm.

00WXcy-247021584.jpg.115ce57b8e10a75a8bc47b7f88ec2fbc.jpg

Some amazing photos already this week! Thanks to Doug Rice and Joseph Gewickey for commenting on my effort last week. I really enjoyed Dejan Smaic's bike race image and Louis Meluso's pinhole shot - "back to basics" in a very artistic way.

Today is another chrome, reflecting the "Spring into Summer " theme here in the Northern Hemisphere.

00WXd9-247023584.jpg.3b385f5ad34935d3ebeb99e03cee2d97.jpg

Hi everyone! No shy subjects for me lately (nice dog Matt), to tell you the truth haven't actually had that much time for photography lately, but hoping I could change that.
One thing I did was going out on a walk with camera (and fiance, which meant no tripod) and shoot infra red. The water was almost still and the sky had some impressive clouds, so I captured this landscape. It reminds me of some fantasy movie with the color and all.

Marking from behind is risky business. But if you are able to pull it off, why not? The thing that intrigued me with this shot was the way the shadow cast by the outstretched arms made it look as though the player on the left had applied “war paint” on his face.

Hello everyone..
My photo this week is one of the 250 elephants statues places around London. It is part of a conservative campaign of the crisis faced by the Asian Elephant. Of all the elephants I've seen around town, this bright coloured elephant caught my attention. Oh and they are for sale!

00WXdd-247027784.jpg.ac9128623f58d419f6f874f90e957a77.jpg

Last week I walked the 'black poplar trail' in Buckinghamshire. 5 miles of paths which took in one of Britains rarer trees - the black poplar. This tree almost became luminous in the sunlight and when backed by the cloud bank it made for an interesting scene. I used my F6 and 28-100mm G.

00WXeK-247039584.jpg.2f0cf848fb2091140a360b82c942b34d.jpg

Must say though, Jana Hughes photo is absolutely stunning! Real class.
Thought I'd try something different this time, and some roses came in handy.

00WXeQ-247043584.jpg.d3f80b1efbc0ba8d127efccbc7e51d15.jpg

Good morning Nikonians, my garden flower is back and here is my sharing. For 2 days, I've been trying to get something good from my 70-300 without good success. So I took my P6000 macro-mode and went for flowers. This is how I realize how good you all are. Makes me want to improve.

00WXfA-247057584.jpg.8efb328059cd5a75766c4f44eb0abfe1.jpg

Hi all,

Unfortunately I had to miss several weeks on Photo.net and especially the WedNEsDay picture. But I'm back and have been messin' around with a 105VR macro lens. No time for proper set up, windy conditions etc. But I like the result.
Great pictures so far this week, I will be looking back into last weeks postings since that gives me so much pleasure.

Good Morning WedNEsDAy :)

Thank You! Doug Rice for commenting/liking on my macro :)

This week's contribution is another macro from the garden. It's poppy flower taken later in the day. I liked the vibrant colors and pattern in this image.

Taken with my trusty D90, Tamron 90 @ 1/160 f10 ISO 400
