j_g21
I have been using photobiz.com for over a year now, and I really like how inexpensive they are and the ease of customers ordering from me through photobiz with a small merchant fee - also through photobiz partner, iTransact. I also like the fact that they don't limit you to which printing company you want to use. I order from a variety of places, according to price, quality and products available and I don't want to have to switch because of an online ordering company.
However, I am beginning to have to upload a lot more images each month as my business is growing, and with photobiz.com, the more images you have, the higher your monthly fee is. THere is a limit to how many images you can have each month in your account - if you want a higher number of photos, the monthly fee goes up.
I want to find an affordable option that makes it easy for customers to view and order their photos, as well as perhaps a great online album viewing source as well. Another thing I dislike about Photobiz is that it is somewhat difficult to explain the products offered without it looking a little messy, as the editing of text is not very good and limits you to how much you can write about each product.
I would love to have the option of having an album preview, and making the process of ordering an album from me an easy and fun experience.
Does anybody have any suggestions for a location to switch? I am currently paying $65/month for a limited space, but it does come with an online cart and checkout, which is very important to me.
nheitzman
Go to LabPrints.com I believe they offer everything that you are looking for and more. I am just checking into placing my images onto an online ordering company also. I have only checked into the details. I have not actually used their services. It might be worth looking into. They have several different rates depending on the amount of photos you upload and whether or not you want extra order options like the album that you mentioned offering to your customers. I hope that this information helps.
luke_van_de_paverd2
Hi JG,
One solution that might be worth looking at is Photography Orders. Very easy to use, and much cheaper than your current spend. Theres a demo you can test to make sure it has all the features you need before buying.
Cheers,
Luke

cfphoto
A good 'pay as you go' solution that works for me is 'Instaproofs.com." The service is free, but they take a comission of off any of your orders. If you're fairly new, and just a few appointments, this could work well.
Hope that helps, Chris
