om-4t hot-shoe away

<p>Hello, OM lovers!</p>

<p>My OM4ti has anothor problem. When I put my body with the flash attached into my bag, the hotshoe (which was a little bit loose at the part near the eye) remained attached to the flash, but ... off the body!</p>

<p>I can see four screws (their heads are in the body), the 2 ones near the eye (viewfinder) are moving freely much easier than the other ones. There is any possibility to open the top-plate, and solve this issue by myself? It is very difficult, or is like the OM-1 (which I have already opened?)</p>

<p>I suspect that it is more complicated as there is a circuit board under it. My suggestion would be to contact John Hermanson <a href="http://www.zuiko.com/">http://www.zuiko.com/</a> . this is what I would do in this situation. No connection to him except I am a satisfied customer myself. John Gettis</p>

<p>I don't recommend home repair on this. At least 2 of the hot show screws are hidden by the top cover flex circuit, which has to come out to re-attach the shoe. John</p>

<p>Hello again. It is a very 'little' big problem. I don't live in USA. It is Europe, and also contacted the Uk repairer (Keith - I'dont remember right now) but got no response. The camera sending to US is a ta a huge price. </p>

<p>I don't know what to do...</p>
