New to forum and to photography

<p>Hello all,<br>

At 45 years old I decided it was time to dump our cruddy PAS and get a SLR. I bought a D3000 last week and I am hooked. I start a class soon and an excited to get started. I put a few of my first shots in my portfolio.<br>

I have a history in painting and drawing so I am hoping that some of that skill will transate to photo composition...we'll see!<br>

I look forward to learning from others out there.<br>
