Rollei Pan 25 and Pyro PMK

Has anyone processed Rollei Pan 25 with Pyro PMK? I've done search after search and coming up empty on development times. Digitaltruth's dev chart doesn't list the combo, and most references come up with everything but Pyro PMK.

This is the last roll of Rollei I have on hand and have been putting off processing. I really would like to develop it and get it scanned. Any and all help would be very much appreciated..

Rollei Pan 25 E.I. 25 in Amaloco AM50 (Pyrocatechine (non staining) developer). 1+29 5:00 minutes on 20C.

I think you can expect great results in PMK - Tanol - Finol etc.

Thanks guys, for responding and beautiful photo Robert.
Due to a pressing scheduel I had to make some educated guess and experiments. After a long drawn out google and yahoo searching, I found that Rollei Pan 25 is very similar to Adox CHS 25 Art in chemistry. With a little more searching, found others used same development times. It's funny, Adox films have many dev charts for Pyro PMK, but not Maco or Rollei films.
Anyway, with my Pyro PMK, from Bostick & Sullivan, I mix it standard 1+2+100. With Adox CHS 25 Art I keep it close to 7.5 minutes @ 21degC or 69.8F, subtracting 4% time for each degF over standard (or what the recipe calls for). IT WORKED! As soon as I get that roll scanned this afternoon, I will post a shot off that roll.

To anyone else that comes across this thread, if you know something useful about the Rollei Pan and Pyro PMK, please keep adding.
Thanks everyone.

Adox CHS 25 Art is equal to Efke 25, Single layer Dr. Schleussner 50's emulsion. Rollei Pan 25 has been made by Filmotec and is based on OrWo NP 15 emulsion technique.

Thanks Robert. Being that is may, I still wonder why there isn't more dev info for using PMK with this film. Seems like all the Rollei films were passed over by users of PMK.
Here's one of the frames from the roll I just did. 7min @ 71deg F, Pyro PMK by bostick & sullivan, 1+2+100.

00XSer-289381684.jpg.2329a49453e2261b275e625560093660.jpg

The Rollei Pan 25 has a Polyester clear base. When drying to quickly all Polyester base films are extra curly. The worse films are the Adox/Efke type, curling like hell. Did you use a suitable wetting agent?
Some data about Rollei films:
http://www.fotohuisrovo.nl/documentatie/Development_Rollei%20films.pdf
If you can provide acurate PMK Rollei PAN 25 data I will pass it through the factory.

Actually no I didn't use a wetting agent. I was taught that a sufficiant pre-soak in distilled or very well filtered water would suffice. I usually pre-soak film no less than 3-4minutes, and rinse out the magenta stain (Rollei rinsed greenish).
I would be happy to pass along dev time for PMK. However, I personally don't believe it should be based on one roll. After I've done several rolls I would have a much better idea on the best times and temp. I am surprised at the results on this roll, considering I was going at it with a educated guess, for intents and purpose.
Thank you again Robert.

For Polyester films always use a wetting agent but on a minimum dose when in destilled water. When drying up in about 1 1/2 - 2 hours. This will depend on the humidity of your environment. Drying Polyester too quickly will give excessive curl.

When you think you have done more films and reliable data we can exchange some more detailed information.

best regards,

@Robert Vonk- there doesn't seem to be a source of FX-39 in the USA anymore. I used to use it for Plus-X and Ilford Pan F+. I've got most of a bulk roll of Rollei Pan 25 left and would love to see how it does in FX-39. Another poster recommended Clayton F60 as a replacement for FX-39, but from what I've read, they're not the same. Nice photo, BTW.

FX-39 is G. Crawley high acutance developer. Since the distribution channels of Paterson collapsed it's maybe easier to order directly in their web shop:
For USA they are indicating:
Thank you. It has been made on the river Rijn/Waal in 2005. The model is Patty van der Roest, now much more famous.
The AM50 is a higher dilution variant (1+29) of Amaloco AM20 which is from 1936. As told a non-staining Pyrocatechine developer buffered with Hydroxide on pH=12. AM20 and AM50 are obselete since Amaloco Photochemicals ceased their production in Ommen 2008, the Netherlands. AM74 is still there. Also made under Rollei High Speed label (RHS). This is a semi-compensating developer on Phenidone/Hydroquinon pH just under 10. This developer was together with Rodinal the most populair developer in BeNeLux and Germany.
It will also work fine with Rollei Pan 25. Rodinal on the higher dilution (=> 1+50) also.
