ProPhotBlogs?

Recommended Posts

I can honestly say there are no cons that I've found to their sites. The software is very easy to use, super customizable, and their support is unparalleled. I just upgraded to ProPhoto3 and they've added very nice new gallery features -- before I was embedding SlideshowPro galleries, and it was a bit of a pain, this new feature is worth the price alone. Feel free to see my blog-site at www.classicmaineweddings.com to see what mine looks like.

i think like 90% of wedding photographers uses their template for wordpress...so im guessing there's gotta be a reason why everyone uses them...but then again, your blog is going to look like everyone else's ( fine..so your color scheme is different ).

Very happy with mine as it was easy to put together and does what I need. Sure plenty of others have a similar look, but this is hard to avoid without a high priced custom job... have a look if you like - www.sassstudios.com/blog

Thanks everyone for your help! I still haven't decided but I am definitely leaning toward ProPhotoBlogs since I don't currently have enough money to go completely custom. They were awesome at WPPI and I am only hearing good things about them on here. Thanks so much!
And BTW, Ben, I have to completely agree with Missy! You ROCK!
Alex - Thanks so much! I loved your blog too and really love the shots of the red pub!

I saw a blog I liked from a wedding photographer in Canada, he said it was a prophoto blog, I priced one company who sent me an initial quote for pretty much the prophoto template at 6 times the cost!
(insert ironic chagrined look for photographer complaining about another professionals rate)

however I did the handheld installation for the prophoto, really, really like the result. Which is not to suggest more doesn't need to be done, and the learning curve is moderate for adding access to facebook, twitter, and other social media as well as some layout ideas. That being said, I've very happy with the look inititally of the blog and looking forward to tweaking it some more.

Oh, and sooooo much simpler than even slideshowpro for putting up slideshows..really pleased with that.
Goodluck
