Stylus 850SW Display not working - Needed Firmware upgrade to restore

<p>After letting the battery fully discharge on the camera the display stopped working. I fully charged the battery but although the camera would take photos, the display would not turn on in any of the modes. I was on a cruise and ready to buy another camera, but decided to try a firmware upgrade first, and sure enough after upgrading to the latest Firmware, the display began working normally again. Apparently there is a firmware bug that causes the camera to get into this failure mode. I wanted to post this on a forum where others could easily find it to save them from buying another camera unneccesarily. </p>
