Good Morning WedNEsDAy :)

Here is my contribution, after receiving my macro lens yay... tamron 90mm. It was much better weather over the weekend compared to what we are seeing in last couple of days, yes I am talking about new england :)

I liked the creamy bokeah of this lens and sharpness, taken with Nikon D90 and Tamron 90mm f/2.8 and it's hand held shot, no tripod. Though it was little windy, but could manage to get few nice shots before calling it a day.

Exposure Time = 1/50"
F Number = F8
ISO Speed Ratings = 400
Focal Length = 90mm

John Farrar - cliche maybe, but certainly beautiful colors and tones, feels like a painting
Daniel Owen - good experiment and excellent outcome
Rick Moran - calm waters indeed, like how the wingtip grazes the water

Yes, life can be cruel. Especially when you’re a nineteen month girl old and you cannot go outside to get the little rabbits, while you brother and sister can. No grandma, no way you are going to make me stop crying.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

We had a cold spell last weekend - the ice on the lake had melted the week before, the weather cleared up and the temp dropped below freezing, which made some interesting ice formation on the waterfront.

I did not dare to go into the water (lacking a dry suit or a lot of guts), so the photo were not what they could have been.... but it was a spectacle.

Now, at least in Northern New England, it's back to mud puddles....

Vineet Rajasekhar, Matt Lauer - love'em!

00W7zb-233329684.jpg.e3a7653aecea0ed785cbb22102ab6363.jpg

I took some photos of my nieces at the Walker Art Center sculpture gardens in Minneapolis last Saturday. It was a nice overcast day and the light was strong enough that I didn't have to use any fill flash.

00W80L-233337784.jpg.20a175125ff042b5cc17127dfbf52431.jpg

Hi all,

It's definitely been a while since I last posted but I've always followed this thread very closely every week. So much talent, I am humbled to be able to share my work with all of you.
Today's meager attempt is a duck I shot last weekend. I think of it as a bit of a milestone for me in that I am exploring manual mode more.

00W80h-233341584.jpg.757ba6d7e0da8398003a2dbb19a0ce17.jpg

Taken this past Sunday and based on the rain we have had since then, there is probably no more ice until next year and that is a good thing. Captured in Laprairie Quebec next to the St.lawrence river on a boat ramp area just off highway 15 south. No tripod and shot with VR on. I had to underexposed quite a bit to avoid loss of highlights on the ice and I tried to position myself to catch the highlights of a setting sun. The underexposure gave me more noise in the background and I used some selective noise reduction with a layer. All the very best to everyone.

00W81H-233349784.jpg.f5bfb5ce9505b9ae83b3513ff30ff7f5.jpg
