Good morning! Thank you to those who commented on the Asters last week! Not much going on here...except, the weather was incredible yesterday. Had a glass of wine after work with my wife. Not much to photograph then I noticed the sun and shadow from the glass...
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Good morning to all. Very busy week for me. After back to back week ends of volleyball tournaments and over 4,000 pics taken I thought I'd post a VB shot. In Volleyball this is called a chicken wing. Nikon D3, Nikon 80-200 2.8, 105mm, f/3.5, 1/1000 sec., ISO 6400, +0.3 step.

00W1IH-229923584.jpg.88ed2525e5155a817087a0a26452d099.jpg

Have to hurry and post, as I am traveling and must keep to schedule! Wish I had more time to comment on all the excellent work...maybe later. This is an image I find a little haunting but beautiful at the same time. Happy Nikon Wednesday to all!

00W1IK-229923684.jpg.221b994abcdb6a0a889c289ba3dedf3f.jpg

Took my son to a skateboarding park over the weekend. Lots of talented kids there and they gave me lots of good shooting opportunities. My favorites (as always) were the ones with slow shutter speeds that emphasize motion.

00W1Ir-229931584.jpg.187b39d5132414e0c6a46ee6a844847d.jpg

Happy Wednesday all from North Carolina. Spring is just around the corner and the birds are becoming very active. With the extra hour of daylight, hopefully I can find some time to go out a shoot. :)

Went to a performance car show last weekend. With hotrods and bikini girls around, I spent more time in the kid zoo area instead. The trainer showed off this tiny little guy to the kids. I was standing 3-4 feet away from the subject snapping away. Got one that I like ... in MF. Picture slightly cropped.

Another wonderful Wednesday !!!

I know all that you all in the Midwest and Northeast have been inundated with snow and or rain, so I hope you all are okay. You may not appreciate water at this time.

However, I can't get away from the water or so it seems. While it is can be quite destructive, it can be quite beautiful.

I am learning what an amazing thing water is , how it moves and reflects or rather refracts all that is around it.

I though it would be fun to try and capture something for St. Patrick's Day for you. The object behind the drop has to be upside down to refract right side up. Now I am curious about this , and am trying to learn why this happens.

Good Wednesday everyone. I haven't participated in awhile, but have enjoyed viewing everyone's fine photos. My contribution this week is from one of the five Spanish missions in San Antonio. The shot was taken about high noon and is the "Mission Concepcion", which is located a few miles south of the Alamo. It was built in 1731 and was used by the Franciscan friars to convert native Indians to Christianity.
