Congratulations Richard Karash. Just 14 more to go and counting for me.
BM Mills, congratulations on the "Big" step
Matthew Brennon - Excellent. Tack sharp
I went out to an old town where I lived a "few" years ago. Yes, I did graduate from this old one room school house. So sad to see it like that.
This photo was taken with a D90 12-24mm @ 200 iso. HDR from 3 shots

00Vy8t-228077584.jpg.5f50bcb7412784fbb6e5f087d247a1f2.jpg

Thx Don. Hammy was in LA late 90's on a Fulbright to UCLA. We hooked up there, played sessions, then when I was over there a couple of years later we went and visited him there. He pops through L.A. every once in a long while. This photo was the last time I've seen him a couple years ago it seems. Where are you?

Greetings to all! I wasn't able to post this week, but wanted to take some time to comment on the ones that caught my attention:
Matt- Fun abstract. I like the touch of blue in the stacks.
Richard- Congratulations on becoming a grand dad and a wonderful shot.
Gej- Well composed shot, looks almost like a water color. The historical context was very interesting.
Lil- Your perseverance paid off in a nice shot. I'm curious as to what your learning using this technique vs using a true macro lens.
BM- Congrats on your nuptials!
Tiffany- Love your portrait work. This pose works really well for this young lady.
Dieter- Amazing detail and sharpness. What a stare!!
Aquinaldo- WOW what detail. Nicely done.
Richard- I agree, I wonder what she is thinking. Nice shot
Alpo- Simply beautiful shot.
Tony- I love the perspective of your bridge shot.
Best regards to all.

This week a double treat for me - not only the usual array of wonderful diverse photos but also some very warm words from my Wednesday Pic friends. Thankyou all and though I write it often, I again want to say that I really treasure the warmth and liveliness of the community on this thread and - more broadly - this site.

Paul V. Gorky , thank you for your kind words.
Durukan Payzanoglu , I'm struggling with the sharpening feature of the CS4. Sometimes it´s not enough, sometimes I exagerate. The balance is a difficult goal for me. Thank you very much for your comment and rating.
All my best for you
