jos__arnaud
I have been watching this forum with very much pleasure every wednesday for some time, and today I have decided to send my first contribution to it, hoping for your benevolence...
This week, so far, I have especially enjoyed Bob Dein's beach, taken at Venice, Florida, GK Sullivan's English Bay Schooner, and Emilio Gutierrez' Festivity.
My photo was taken at sunset at the artisanal fishing port of Carrasqueira, on the river Sado estuary, Portugal, on an Autumn day, with my Nikon D80, with the AFS Nikkor 18-200 lens, at 1/30 and f:5.6, set to ISO:400 Raw, converted to JPEG with Capture NX2.

CoryAmmerman
I'm a little late to the party this week. Excellent shots so far. Here's a shot I took with a Seimar 500mm f8 preset lens that I bought last week, on a whim (the price was right...$35).

Great colors...wonderful composition. Perfect timing!

Lil...Fabulous! They have the most wonderful faces, don't they? I am always reminded of Kevin Spacey in "A Bug's Life"

Louis...Wonderful portrait. Simple and effective. Great light and handling of those tricky whites.

Ray...It paid off. Terrific shot. Memories of a lifetime.

Matthew...Wonderful. One of my 2 faves this week. raaj
I made a 1'x1' softbox out of cardboard while sitting in front of the TV and watching the Olympics. This my was my first use of it, other than photographing small objects. I may have restricted the light a little too much here.

Cheers,

Raaj
