I have been watching this forum with very much pleasure every wednesday for some time, and today I have decided to send my first contribution to it, hoping for your benevolence...
This week, so far, I have especially enjoyed Bob Dein's beach, taken at Venice, Florida, GK Sullivan's English Bay Schooner, and Emilio Gutierrez' Festivity.
My photo was taken at sunset at the artisanal fishing port of Carrasqueira, on the river Sado estuary, Portugal, on an Autumn day, with my Nikon D80, with the AFS Nikkor 18-200 lens, at 1/30 and f:5.6, set to ISO:400 Raw, converted to JPEG with Capture NX2.

Came across this tree on the way home from work during last Friday's snowstorm.I seen trees across the road but never one that arched it self completely like this so that you were able to drive under it.

Hello everybody from Croatia!

Today, Narayan Kovval, Monika Epsefass, Dubravko Grakalic, Epp B, and Peter Giraudin especially caught my eye.
My photo is from last Sunday, it was really windy so I opted for using 10x b+w ND filter.
Processed it in Photomatix and Capture NX.

My contribution this week is a photo taken from the River Walk in New Orleans of the Steamboat Natchez. Nikon D90, which I am still trying to figure out!

00VuYf-225759684.thumb.jpg.dac0d85f3b6dc8db4efa617aba0fe619.jpg

I made a 1'x1' softbox out of cardboard while sitting in front of the TV and watching the Olympics. This my was my first use of it, other than photographing small objects. I may have restricted the light a little too much here.

Cheers,
