stevidx
Hi... I just joined photo.net with a trial membership and will be lurking around for a while trying to figure out if I want a subscription membership. I pretty much only do landscape and seascape photography. I'm self taught and learn mostly by trial and error. I posted my five image limit to my gallery and if you have a minute would love to hear your thoughts on them. http://www.photo.net/photos/stevidx you can also see more at http://www.stevidx.com

I live across the street from the ocean in El Granada, CA, and a lot of my images are local. I was in an HDRi phase for about a year, but have recently switched to using stacked ND and GND filters with some occasional manual blending to achieve the same dynamic range. I lost a camera to the ocean a few weeks back (Canon Xti) and have replaced it with Canon's new 7d... it was a big upgrade and its still a little intimidating to me. I've gone out with it like five or so times and we're getting to know each other slowly.

Well... thats me in a nut shell... see ya around,
Steve

timzeipekis
Hey Steven! Welcome to PN. I'm sure you'll find plenty of reasons to stick around. I've met many wonderful people here and I'm sure you will as well. Nice start to your portfolio, BTW.

joshroot
You are going to love that 7d. The XTi is a great camera, but the 7D will be a nice step up for you in a lot of ways.

Welcome to PN.
