Micro 4/3 adapted lens comparison

I agree completely with Oskar and William. As a film rangefinder photographer for many years, i can tell you that the rangefinder lenses were not designed to work with m4/3rds format. It has everything to do with the way the light strikes the sensor. Lenses that are razor sharp on a film camera will not produce the same results with the E-P1(2). The forums on the net are filled with posts from photographers who are getting poor results from the "M" mount lenses. Heavy vignetting and soft images are the norm, with somewhat better results using lenses with a FOV longer than 35mm. Trouble is, with the 2X factor, a 35mm lens becomes 70mm. I think that anyone would be better off simply using the Oly 17/2.8 or the Pany 20/1.7 for wide angle photography. Both lenses are very sharp and lightweight and were designed specifically to work with the m4/3 format.
