eric_meyer Posted December 31, 2009 Share Posted December 31, 2009 <p>From what I've seen, they changed from the greenish-yellow outer coating to the purple one shortly after the 3000000 s/n, c. 1980. (Don't know whether that coincides with the E60 version of this lens.) I prefer the later coating, and in wide-angle lenses it resists sun reflections/flare better.
