<p>The images this week are just fabulous, and very stimulating, even more than usual.</p>

@Bill Nelson, the photomatix treatment of the old rail stock; this program certainly makes some unusual and interesting effects, I'm trying to learn to control it. Your's is nicely done.<br>

<p>Lots of fantastic photos this week as well, and hard to find the few that really stick out from this high-quaity crowd. Well maybe not so hard, as Jeannean's photo really blew my hat off. If this was a competition, I would not have submitted any of mine! Wonderful and Creative photo. Thank you, Jeannean, for sharing!</p>

<p>Other photos that made may heart pound a little bit more than the rest were those from Jose, Monika Epsefass, Michael Axel, Tim Holte and Jennifer Meighan. </p>

<p><strong>Homer</strong> and<strong> Lil</strong>,<br />thank you for your kind words. I am always happy someone appreciates them.</p>

<p><strong>Lil</strong>, yes it is true that Norway is outside of the European Union. There have been two referendums earlier, in which the result has been a "No" with very small margin. That is, we are associated to the European Union due to our membership in EFTA, and therefore have adapted many of the laws and regulation as the EU countries.</p>

<p>BTW, it sounds really odd that some absolutely european countries like Norway doesn`t belong to the European (economic) Union... but they belong to the European Economic Area. They enjoy the common market, then basically is almost the same. Switzerland goes ever further, as they doesn`t even belong to the European Economic Area (although has been one of the formers!).</p>

<p>Jose, I find many things in the political life in Norway strange, but in order not to start a flame war with my fellow Norwegians here at PN, and since this is a photo forum, I think I'll just say "No Comment" ;)</p>
