Happy Wednesday everyone !!
Congratulations to : Tim H, Jeannean, Richard K and Roberta D .... your pictures guys are lovely.
Here is my post for this Wednesday : took this picture last saturday. As you can see, it was a very close winning, by inches and still my Nikon D300 kept focus on the horse that was ahead of the others. Pretty nice !! I hope you enjoy it.

00VGgN-201163584.JPG.636fd1e518ff3bb625463705fd351471.JPG

Happy Wednesday. Great pictures as usual.
I did not go out to take pictures this past weekend because of the bad weather. So, my submission of the week is from November’s shots. While hiking in local hills, this young fellow and his friends/family came across my path. I had my D300 with me at the time. Took several pictures. I choose this one because I like the movement of the deer and the color.

00VGh3-201175584.jpg.3eda321c388bd9bfc6914b32dbc8ccd8.jpg

Absolutely awesome shots today, I am thinking this is the best start ever. Here is my contribution this week, my wife and I got away from the kids for a night and this was shot from the inside the hotel room, and its the only shot you "public" are going to see from that hotel room.

Great work this week! Outstanding. I am humbled by the company here.

My approach to wildlife is the same with a Grizzly Bear or a Fire Ant. Compose the shot predetermine the exposure and wait for the subject to enter the frame. Often this will yield the results that I'm looking for. Not surprisingly I've had more trouble with Fire Ants than Grizzlies or Wolves.

Aggressive little beasties.

-Shane

Nikon as always.
