clive1
Try Fujifilm's Acros (100) for crisp contrasty images. I develop in D-76 1:3 @ 16.5 mins. Very nice combo.
kevin_dixey2
Okay back to a thread I started a little over a year ago...

I picked up a Nikon D40 mostly because I wanted something simple and immediate for family pictures and such and it has been pretty fun. It is a lot more enjoyable to use than the Olympus E500 was. I jst have the kit lens strapped to it and as kit lenses go it's fine. I'll probably pick up the 35/1.8 for it at some point. That being said, I still love my film cameras. I'm trimming down my meager collection to just a few because most of them sit around unused and they deserve to be used.

I ended up with both an OM1n and an OM2n as well as a Konica S2 and S3. I sold off the Canonet GL17 and the Ricoh GR1S (I regret selling that one) and the Konicas are likely to be headed to the auction block as well as the Canon AE1P (never liked it and getting the OM2 just made it worse).

I know it heresy to say it but I haven't exactly enjoyed shooting with the Konicas. The S3 has a tiny viewfinder compared to my Olympus 35RC and I cannot get used to shooting in shutter priority (I now its not hard but old habits die hard). I really WANT to like the Konicas especially because they are both is great shape, but I'm not feelin' the love.

In case anyone cares I ended up using Ilford HP5 and Kodak Tri-X for BW. I think I prefer the Ilford.
