greg_s._garrett Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009
Hi All,

For friends and family I'd like to create a 2010 calendar with a handful of high-quality publishable photos of wildlife I took in the Pantanal last month. However, I can't find any online outlets which have calendar templates that look serious or professional. They all look very amateur. Any ideas of where I can go to create a very professional-looking photo calendar? Thanks

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
railphotog Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009
Do you have access to a Wal-Mart? I've been having calendars made by them for the past few years, seem to do a decent job. They have many online templates from which to choose. They usually have sales on them before Christmas. Order online, pick up at local store.

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Charles_Webster Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009
I used Shutterfly for my 2009 family calendar. It was OK. I used LULU.com for my 2008 calendar, I liked the paper and the look of the calendar, but the color reproduction was very poor.

<Chas>

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
KenPapai Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009
I've also used Shutterfly for calendars -- cost about $21 each.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

manuel barrera houston, Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009
There are kits for calendars, I have used them, but now I have use the spiral puncher and two sided photo papers. I give out calendars for Christmas to relatives and friends. I found that many prefer an all year calendar that I print on a 13 x19, here is a sample of sucha a calendar that I did for a School JROTC, I have Office 2007 and use the templates they have on line, paste to CS3 or CS4, convert to smart and enlarge to fit the paper. <a href="
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

mike_milicia Posted October 26, 2009 Share Posted October 26, 2009
I went with more of a "fine art" style calendar where each month is displayed as an individual print using something like an acrylic box frame where it's easy to change the prints every month. Some advantages to this are that I can print them myself which is less expensive for small runs and I get total control over quality.
