bill_tuthill
After steadily dropping over the past few years, IE visits to my website were 50.2% in September and 50.1% so far in October. Most of the slack went to Safari, 14.3%. Mozilla Firefox is relatively steady around 33%. These shares are not in line with web surveys, which have Safari < 5%. My audience is non-technical California based. Are other webmasters seeing numbers like this?
leicaglow
I've seen Chrome hits way up on mine. I really like Safari's new version, but Firefox is hard to beat with its open environment and all the add ons. Unfortunately the flip side is instability caused by those add ons. I've been having a heck of a time with crashes.
Spearhead
Google Chrome usage in September was under 4%, actually a decline from last year. I've never met anyone that uses it, I took it off my computer. I test for IE, Firefox and Safari, that covers over 90% of the market.
Music and Portraits Blog: Life in Portugal
leicaglow
Jeff, ZD Net and Market Share indicate Chrome is way up. It's about triple what it was last year. Still not in the range of IE and FF, but gaining on Safari.
bill_tuthill
Michael, perhaps there is something about Leica photogs that makes them use Chrome? Assuming that awstats reports Chrome (and no other browsers) as "unknown" and no other browsers in that category, Chrome use is up from 0.9% to 1.1% in early October on my site. That's about the same as Opera. I am seeing more activity than that from phones.
