Wauw, great birdshots Jose and Lil, and chris is making everybody jealous already, again.
My picture is from a few weeks ago since I didn't have any time to select anything from last week. It was from a trip to the nurnberg ring in germany. There were these 'shops' displaying special cars and trying to sell special shirts. This shop had a nice setup of guys with helmets. Didn't have a great lens on to really play with DOF, but the effect is there.
Taken with the D90 and the 18-200mm @ 80mm F5 1/60s iso 200
Watching the pictures already there I bet this will be another great wednesday.

00UYl5-174953684.jpg.2f1284c46bfdc5e80b0d46b5bfe696c0.jpg

I knew they were planning to demolish the old house on the other side of our block. But the speed really surprised me. I heard the first crash at 8:00 a.m. When I got there about 15 minutes later, the garage and half the house were piles of rubble. When I came home from work that evening, there was nothing left but a hole where the basement used to be.

D300, 24-70, ISO 400, 1/640 and 1/8000 at f/2.8, handheld HDR.

00UYmb-174977584.jpg.3c8cee53953f7f7d0349f225e01214ae.jpg

Maroon Peak, at 14,156 feet, is the 27th highest peak in Colorado; North Maroon Peak, at 14,014 feet, is the 50th highest. The view of the Maroon Bells to the southwest from the Maroon Creek valley is one of the most famous scenes in Colorado, and is reputed to be the "most-photographed spot in Colorado" and one of Colorado's premier scenic overlooks. My image was taken with Nikon D70 18-70mm lens @ 31mm, 1/10 second at f25, ISO 200.

00UYmj-174979584.jpg.3f94ba50c5f18c6b023ef74d9a4fc494.jpg

Good morning,
Craftsmanship is still everywhere if you pay attention to it. In this case the skills of a Master Mason. Look at the brick triangles in the front of this traditional farmer house. In Holland this masonry decoration is called 'boerenvlechting'. This particular design is tradition in the Dutch Provence of Friesland.

00UYn6-174985684.jpg.a77b2d80cbf7e12249b03303e11203a1.jpg

Good Morning WedNEsDAy :)

Last week we went to "animal adventures" and animal education place. It's a small place, but they had different animals and reptiles which are usually in the zoo. Most of the reptiles were in the glass cabinet and got a chance of taking pictures of some. I took the pictures keeping my lens stick to the glass cabinet to avoid reflection (I forgot to take my CPL).

This was taken with Tamron 18-200, after service. I think auto-focus motor is as it was (not improved focusing-wise) but the sharpness has improved.

Model: NIKON D40
ISO: 800
Exposure: 1/100 sec
Aperture: 5.6
Focal Length: 100mm
Flash Used: No

Thanks for looking,

Good morning everyone! I grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down to enjoy my Wednesday trip around the world with some great photographers. Don't get out of Michigan much anymore. Thanks to those who comment on all of the enteries. It make Wednesdays more exciting to hear the comments on the photos.
Last Wednesday we had a great trip to our Detroit Zoo. The weather was sunny and cool and we saw some animals that we hadn't seen before. The Snow Monkeys were parading around the moat, a male and female gorilla were entertaining everyone with a mating ritual that looked like a soap opera and a chimpanzee mom and pop brought their little baby boy out to play. He was too cute to not take about a 100 pics of his covorting on the ropes and summersaulting down the hill. This was one of my favorites taken with a Nikon D300 70-200 f/2.8 lens at 1/400 f/9 200mm.

00UYnN-174989584.jpg.4664d4f47576339502db2dea3e5c7da5.jpg

I got out of my car at the football field to shoot a high school football game and I noticed 3 Sand Hill Cranes out in a field. So I walked over to see how close I could get. To my surprise they let me get within 15 feet of them. This one puffed up his feathers to scare me off. I didn't run. Great pics so far.

00UYnR-174989884.thumb.jpg.9a6253f3efea57f42af152f9d2dac011.jpg
