<p>It was initially interesting but quickly went downhill once it morphed into a Leica M9 sales pitch a few minutes into Part One. Didn't bother with Parts Two or Three.</p>

<p>Just took a look at "Part 1," which is a 15 minute video.</p>

<p>Somewhere near the 9 minute mark, virtually <em>all</em> the commentary turns to the claimed advantages and attractions of the rangefinder camera, and Leica in particular.</p>

<p>For me that became tedious, not because I have anything against rangefinders or Leicas, but because I found the commentary both redundant and largely a digression from the subject at hand.</p>

<p>[Had I seen Hugh's post before I watched, I might have taken a pass.]</p>

<p>Yeah, it is a bit repetitive/Leica lovefest, but worth watching all the way through.<br>

Mute the speakers and treat it as a slideshow - the docu follows some good photographers.</p>

<p>An interesting video, but a little overboard on the equipment aspect. </p>

<p>Despite the Leica promo there are worse ways to spend 45 minutes.</p>

<p>I have to say that's a great documentary. Rangefinders are the best tools for street shooting, I can say this without doubt. They are small, quite and rough. Lenses are very sharp too. You just cannot deny this. Cartier-Bresson, Doisneau, Winogrand, also Gilden - they all use(d) Leica.</p>
