I am really happy to look at all of these great photos today. I missed posting last week due to illiness.
I tried for the first time to capture a night scene here in the country. I got what I wanted but not necesssarily what others may want to look at.
This is my driveway coming into my house. It has one of those sodium lights that the electric company supplies.

Wednesday again!
I brought my camera with me for a twilight golf round. I was taking a chance that I would be soaked as there was a heavy rain forecast. Ended up taking this picture when the Sun came out of nowhere behind me for about 30 seconds. Pickture was taken with a D700, 24-70mm f2.8 lens, 1/50s, f9, ISO200. Hope you like it.

When on a photowalk last weekend with the local Photo club. Saw this fountain with the wind wiping the water a round, looked like the water was dancing.

Thank you all for your comments to my photo with sunset and fishing men.
Thank you also for all great photos that you share here, on weekly Nikon WedNEsDAy.
Here, in Romania, is Wednesday so here I am again. This photo was taken in August, close to Rodnei mountains and near to Borsa city, at 1400m. Maria, a great woman at her age, almost 80-90 years old, using the traditional way of making wool (with spindle, manual spinning).
Have a great day and a lovely weekend.
Best regards,

Good Morning WedNEsDAy lovers!

Great photo day indeed!

Pedro Cardoso - that is so detailed photo and nice sleep photo! I wish I could sleep like that. I am glad you did it in BW btw.

My contribution today is from July '09. I took this photo using my wife's D40. I saw some term that I haven't paid attention to before - 'Exposure Bias Value = 0/6'. If you can help me translate this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Missed last week because i was on vacation with the family, and vowed not to go near a computer. This weeks image keeps in line with Sanfords car show entry. Shot at a show/hillclimb event at the Nasau County Museum of Art this past weekend, a flathead Ford rat rod is reflected in the rear flank of a beautiful Porsche GT2.
Went on a touristy walk with my mother through Boston this weekend as she helped me move into my new apartment. Found this wall of dog-tags symbolizing all those who have died in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.

Good work, and so may already. Gotta run, will spend more time later :)

I thought about posting another pretty shot this week, but then I'd rather give you story. This photo was taken with a lens that belonged to my late father in law, who died many years ago. My mother in law found it a few years back and remembered I shot Nikon. I rarely use it. Who knows why he bought it? It's the Nikkor 2000mm f11 reflex lens. It weights 43 lbs and the only tripod I can put it on is an old wooden Zone VI, with a Ries 250-2 head, There is still a lto of shake, meaning that I needed to shoot at ISO 3200 for a 1/250 exposure time. This tree is back lit by the moon. By mistake initrially I left the yellow filter in place....

00UNlT-169403584.jpg.6f5c1bb91bd521ee49ca6381615bd58f.jpg

Once again I almost ran out of time, (gotta get to work ) looking at all the fantastic pictures, everyone is a source of inspiration. I took a picture of my cat Sidney, looking at the picture seemed rather plain, then I had thought of a comment I had heard "look for the picture in the picture" could not resist that little pink nose.

00UNlj-169405584.jpg.1a4d32374346e7f1c747f87044be6a5e.jpg

Wow! I did not see a single photo that did not grab at me. What a great offering of work.

All are splendid. Again, personal flavor mentioned here. Chris C, Hamish, Alejandro, Matt L, Susan, Jeannean, Carey, Amy Z, Eddy, Mircea, Laura – very touching shot.

Mine is a little different for me having been significantly reworked in PS. This is a little place near my home where a friend has spent considerable time and money building a period correct service station to compliment his millions in restored antique automobiles. It is a wonderful place to hang out.

Another great Wednesday thread!
I didn't post last week because I was in Norway on business, but I've managed to take several photos of this incredibly beautiful country -- even despite the nearly non-stop rain. Here is one, I will post more on my PN site.

00UNmq-169417584.jpg.be02e9237ae7e540e791b2a6175eaa8e.jpg
