sjoerd_leeuwenberg
Hi, so many great pictures already, again!
Alejandro, your picture reminds me of one I took in the zoo some weeks ago, maybe I will post it next week. I like the light in yours.
I will comment on the rest in the 'commenting phase'.
My picture this week is a portrait I took of a friend of the family.
I took it to demonstrate to him the sharpness of the lens, but it turned out to be a nice portrait I think.
Taken with the D90 and 50mm F1.4 @ 50mm (duh) F4.0 1/350s iso 200
Have a nice day everybody

liljuddakalilknyttphotogra
I have a photo ready, with the help of my husband who made the pick as I as usual was unsure of which to pick..... This was one of my narrowed down choices though....
Ton - I have been working on my candids & have a few new ones. Thank you for being so supportive. But this week I go back to my infrared shots.
This was taken today in Malibu on the beach, right before I got slightly dunked by a wave carrying the D700 & the 70-300VR & the D70 with the 10-24mm I got about two weeks ago. All is well, seems the water resistance of Nikon cameras could handle the water I was hit by.
I will comment later as it's 2am & I will have to get up about 7:30am again to keep up with my sister. So I will have to return later to do my commenting - but from what I can see we're in for a great week already.
Here's my shot from the beach....
D70 & 10-24mm Nikkor, ISO 200, 1/800s, f/8, - 0.3 EV, Matrix metering, Aperture mode, as always with IR shots some post processing in between CS3 & NX2. EXIFs embedded.

jensvind
Can't wait for WedNEsDAy,s. Have taken a lot of pictures this week, had my D700 for 13 months now and just passed 10.000 pictures. This week’s contribution is from my work and shows an old Fishermans cottage with heather in the foreground at sunset.
I have become addicted to this tread, feel I MUST have a picture ready each Wednesday, and love to see all your great photos.

jannekaakinen
Good WedNEsDAy to everyone! Time for our favourite thread! Yeay!

Like I told in last week's thread, I was working at a Oulu Music Video Festival last week and had a chance to take few photos while managing the screenings. Last Friday was the finals for the Air Guitar World Championships and I took so many good shots that I could just pick one up randomly and post it here (great lights at the stage). This one was taken just after the new Air Guitar World Champion was announced and the new champ, Günther Love, had received his title and his price!
Ps. Thanks for Lil and Sjoerd for your comments in last weeks thread! :)

ken_i_h
Good morning! I tried!

mikeoday
For those who are interested ... the racing car in my shot is a JWF Milano GT2 hand built (in very small numbers) in Australia around 1970. This was taken at the 2009 annual race meet at the Mount Panorama track in Bathurst Australia.

mikeoday
Jose: Interesting subject, beautiful tones and nice depth of field – I like it a lot.

Per-Christian: Great shot. Although I’m not sure about happy – I don’t think I’ve seen a mane looking like that before; he looks like he’s just been to the hair dresser and had all his knots pulled out! Definitely relaxed though, his paws make him look like he’s meditating.

Joseph: Nice shot and thanks for the background on the place – apart from all the memorabilia on the walls (and the prices) it just looks like a standard eatery.

Ilkka: I like your use of the wide angle to bring the viewer into the action. Great B&W tones also. Well done.

Bernard: Interesting perspective and crop on this much photographed landmark. I like your B&W conversion – particularly the pleasing tones in the flat panels and the nice variation in tones across the sales.
rarmstrong
Good Morning Everyone!
Oh my! The posted images today are simply breathtaking so far! During my month away I was fishing with my brother-in-law when this heron landed on shore and we were able to drift in about 20 feet from the bird. This is with my D300 and the 80-400 VR zoom at f8, 1/640 sec, iso 400, 310 mm, hand held.
Have a fine day!
Dick

ray_rg
Good Morning WedNEsDAy :)

This week's picture is from my old library as did not get a chance to take new picture. July 4th weekend went to Atlantic City beach and I took this candid picture of my daughter busy playing in the sand.
