Trip around Europe: Contax T2 or Yashica T3

I am planning to go on a trip around europe, and I'm thinking about the equipment. I will definetely bring my Olympus OM-4 and one of my point and shoot cameras.
I just tested all of my point and shoot cameras. 5 cameras, One roll per camera, every roll with the exact same pictures on it. I dismissed the Leica Mini first, then the Olympus mju, the Yashica T5 (Faces appeared so reddish for some reason). So I'm left with the Yashica T3 and the Contax T2. I always loved the Yashica, but I'm not so sure about the Contax.
Apart from their look, weight, controls which one gives better results?
According to my "test" the Contax gives extremely sharp pictures, if focussed well. But: Some of the pictures are just out of focus for some reason. Maybe it's my fault, I just started working with the Contax .
Did you notice any lack of focusing-ability on that camera, especially when the subject is closer to the camera?
The fill flash of the contax is superior to the Yashicas, and it gives slightly more vivid coulours. The Yashica needs only half the time to charge the flash (which is important to me)
I am well aware that the Contax has more functions etc. but I just need a point and shot (literally), that i can rely on.
What do you think ?

When you use the T3: do you half-press and allow the focus to lock before proceeding to activate the shutter? Or, do you 'just push the button?'

Also, if i were you, i wouldn't mind taking more than one of these cameras. It's a long trip, and reliability can be an issue. Besides, all of these cameras are small enough that space shoudln't be a worry. And, why not put different films in each? B+W in one, color in another. Or fast film for low light in one, and slow film in another....

I would definitely take the T3 as one of the cameras. Maybe also consider another one that you don't have to worry about so much. A cheap camera can often go places you wouldn't want to take one that's a bit more precious.

I have Contax T2 for ten years, it has an superior five element Sonnar lens, one stop faster than Yashica T3 Tessar lens.
When you focus, make sure you press the release shutter half way, wait until the green
dot shows up in the viewfinder, indicating the focusing is ok, if you press down the shutter
before the green dot comes on, focusing will be off.

"which one gives the better results"...since you have both of the cameras in question, only you can decide which gives the results you are looking for. Both have been well-regarded cameras. They are both very small, why not take both, with one loaded with b&w film like XP2 or the Kodak C-41 film?

I would suggest you do another roll with the T5. The T3 has the fastest lens of the Yashica T series but it isnt to the standard of the lens in the T4/5 and the Contax. If you still decide to rule out the T5 then I would definitely go with the Contax. The T5 like the T3 is a great all weather go everywhere camera, places like sandy beaches or in the rain where I wouldnt consider taking the Contax T2, its great in these circumstances
