Hello photo.net community I was wondering if you could be so nice to critique my website and the images I have on it. It is not 100% as far as material but I love to learn from people's opinions. my website is www.rjbimagery.com Thank you so much and you comments can be both good and bad. I respect honesty

Hi Ryan. Is it intentional that you cannot back out of the site with the browser back button?
The only way i could leave your site (with safari or firefox on a mac) was to close the browser or jump directly to another site.
Or is it only from my computer?
For me that is a turn off and don't revisit the site issue.

What is it that you are hoping to accomplish with the website? As a professional wedding photographer, but also someone who has an art photography background, You need to answer that question first, before further input can be given.
Are you a wedding photographer? I see one wedding. Are you a street photographer? Are you trying to sell art? My personal opinion is that you cannot combine them. A bride is not looking for someone who does street photography... nor does she care if you take pretty pictures of leaves and flowers. She wants to see weddings, and lots of them. Dedicate yourself to what you want to sell and making a living from.
As for the website itself, The dark blue and red are hard to read against the black background.... You need to make some changes there.... :) If you are going for somber and depressing than good for you.... If you are looking to attract happy brides, go for more upbeat colors!
I am not trying to be harsh, just telling it like I see it! All the best to you, and much success!

Not sure about the images on the home page that show a lot of phtoshop. The audio that 'introduces your site' is just irritating, I immediately muted it, many would probably just close it and move on. The interface is difficult to use with all the dark lettering. Tried going to the 'people-California' gallery, and just get a dark screen. Clicking 'home' doesn't take me to the home page, but appears to be a new gallery. Tried the people gallery again and still got a dark screen. I agree with Michelle that your site needs some focus, and more galleries, and get rid of dark color scheme. I'd add get rid of the slideshow and audio; many people still use dial-up, and I think they would lose patience quickly.

Um, I like where you are going with your site-but most of your photos I would consider rejects if I had taken them-they are too over or under exposed. you are a very creative photographer though and perhaps your style just doesn't suit my taste. I hope you are very sucessful in your endevor.
