Back key does not work tonight on Pnet

<p>The go back to previous does not work on my computer when i'm browsing photo.net forums. But works fine when browsing user galleries. Works fine on every other site I tested. I restarted Safari, but gives the same on photo.net forum area but work good elsewhere in photo.net and on other site!<br>

I'm running Safari 4.0.2 on OS X 10.5.8.<br>

Any idea what might be wrong ?!?</p>

<p>What I'm noticing, using IE8: having arrived at the page if I quickly request to back up, it's ignored. A second request usually works. Or just wait a fair bit before the first request, and it's works.<br>

<p>So now the problem is on at least two browsers. IE8 and Safari. I hope Mendel is wrong about the administrators...</p>

<p>One thing I know I'm wrong about is correct use of apostrophes, LOL.</p>

<p>I hope I'm wrong too. Josh's (think I got that apostrophe right) contrib. to the first thread doesn't inspire confidence, but I guess underpayed, overworked and underappreciated will do that to you ;)</p>

<p>Mendel: I tried to request twice in succession and yes it does work sometimes like you said. Alas not always.</p>

<p>JOSH: I noticed something new in my browser's history. http://tag.admeld.com shows up as a page I visited just before I can't go back. Could this have anything to do with it?</p>

<p>BTW, in one of the threads I linked I mentioned <ctrl> plus left arrow as a hotkey for back navigation. My mistake, it should be <strong><alt></strong> plus left arrow (or right arrow).</p>

<p>I continue to not be able to have this issue show up for me. Nor can the programmers make it show up for them. I'm not saying that you guys are lying, but it makes it hard to track down the problem. We're working on it. But it's slow going when we can make it happen.</p>

<p>Hi Josh. It's continuing for me, thus, with IE8:</p>

<p>If I come into a page, and then within a second or two hit the back arrow, it does not work, without fail (err, should that be <em>with</em> fail?). If instead, I wait, say a good ten seconds, it <em>may</em> work. Invariably a second back arrow does work.</p>

<p>Also, say I'm starting at Unified View, and go into a thread, and then (eventually) back arrow back to Unified View, and <em>then</em> try to forward arrow: shouldn't this return me to the thread I just backed out of? For me it consistantly does nothing.</p>

Go to the Critique forum. Select an image. From the image screen click on the folder that the image resides in. This is a series of links above the image starting with Gallery>Photographers name>Folder.<br>

Then click on the back button and for me it does not work. I have to click on it twice.<br>

I'd be interested to know if you or anyone else can reproduce this consistently.</p>

<p>I have no problems with that situation using firefox. But I'll point the programmers at it and see if they can re-create the problem.</p>

<p>Josh, again this is IE8. Thanks for trying. It is somewhat annoying. Maybe it's time to move to firefox.</p>

<p>Yes, I realize that you said you were using IE8. I was just commenting, both for public knowledge and for the programers that read the thread, that I cannot recreate the problem with Firefox.</p>
