Best size Pelican Case for wedding gear

<p>Assuming you carry backup bodies, lenses, flashes, batteries, meters, etc. what's a good size? The 1600 seems close.</p>

<p>I like the 1560, although I might be getting the same size in a Storm case instead, because it has a bit less height. Since I am not a big person, I have to watch how big and heavy these things get. Sometimes I have to pick it up (along with everything else I carry) and sprint up stairs, for instance.</p>

<p>I use the 1510 for all my lenses, cameras, and flashes for what I need for the day. I then carry stands and a few other non-essentials in a bat bag. 1600 is too big in my opinion.</p>

<p>Steve, The 1600 is a little large but you may need it depending on how much gear you want to carry - it gets very heavy so I use it on a rolling luggage carrier. I also use a 1500, which is a little small, so I use a shoulder bag also when using it. You can see pictures of both my 1600 & 1500 loaded for action here (scroll half-way down):</p>

<p>i prefer the pelican 1510.....the 1510 will meet carry on requirements for some airlines if you travel.... it will carry quite a bit of gear.... mine holds two bodies, 70-200mmL, 24-70mmL,tamron 17-50mm,sigma 30mm,canon 85mm, canon 50mm,sigma 10-20mm,canon 580exii,and several lens filters/batteries..... i do have the padded divider for the inside however, i fit all of this without the utility lid upgrade which would hold more cords,cards,and other misc. items.... the nice thing about the 1510 is it also has wheels and can be rolled around if it gets too heavy..... i would recommend it to anyone interested in a hard case.... i still haven't found a way to sneek the second flash in yet though....:^)</p>

<p>Have you looked at the Pelican soft roller cases? BH Photo carries them. I have seen one in person before, and they are very nice.</p>

<p>My current favorite is the Lowepro Fastpack 350 and a lowepro slingshot 200 for small jaunts.</p>

<p>It's really a personal preference. I keep EVERYTHING in a giant 1620. Once I get to a site and need to move around, I'll suit up with all my gear in a think tank system, and I'll put any extras in a 1510 to wheel around, once the majority of my cameras and glass is on my belt, then the remaining extras fit in a 1510. I prefer having everything self enclosed in the 1620 so when I leave the house I don't forget anything, then making myself as mobile as I want to be once I get to the site. The 1620 is nice because it can fit my 70-200 vertically even with a lid organizer. I can drop my lenses in their belt bags directly into the case, so when I want to suit up, I just pull the entire bag out of the case and put it on. <br /><br /> The reality is no one case/bag can do everything so if you're like the rest of us you'll go through 15 iterations of set-ups until you find something.</p>

Storm cases have way better/easier latches...The 2500 has built-in wheels and handle.
