james_ashby
I have (and use HEAPS) a 24-35L, i find it to be a fantastic lens (apparently it's as sharp as a prime), not fast at all, but when ever i go to shoot landscapes/cityscapes i have a tripod so the speed isn't a huge deal. I also used to shoot with a 28 f/2.8 but find the zoom to be much more useful (or maybe i'm just lazy)
alan_swartz
I have a couple of scans that fit the topic. This was from about 2002, shot with a T90 on Kodachrome. Lens was probably 35-105mm, shot at 35mm, though I don't recall for sure. I know it's no wider than 35mm, but the open space in that location gives it something of a sweeping quality. I routinely shoot sunsets underexposed 2/3 stop on slide film for richer color.

alan_swartz
And this one was shot after a summer storm in the late 80s on Kodachrome with an A-1 and most likely a 50mm/1.4. I think it still has a wideangle quality because of the interaction of the wet pavement and the sky.
