I could see it for that purpose alone. I can live with f 4-5.6 if I can see to focus electronically (not as in the old videocams which were black and white and tiny.) And I like the idea of a high resolution LCD screen with a swivel. Yes , 1500.00 is a piece of change. Not incredible though, as some choose to call it. Remember it is a video designed instrument that happens to take good still images. (Drop it by USD 300.
