E-P1 as a Leica M8 alternative

<p>I am with those that want a viewfinder. Besides what has already been said about using an LCD screen is that nosey people can see what your photographing or what you are considering photographing. <br>

I can just see some jerk yelling at a potential subject, "Hey this guy is taking your picture." Or people standing around you, looking over your shoulder while your trying to chimp the picture you just shot to see if the white balance is correct or the shot is in focus or whatever. I don't like it.</p>

<p>Also, you lose the extra stability you get from having the camera braced against your head.</p>

<p>Get the OVF that clips into the flash socket. Problem solved. If it's OK for Leica and Voigtlander to use them, then certainly it's fine for Olympus. </p>

<p>Now all the whining can cease and we can get back to talking about what a great camera this is.</p>

<p>This has always seemed ridiculous to me.</p>

<p>I don't know about anyone else, but when I am holding a camera to my eye I *don't* have it mashed into my face. It's my arms that are supporting and bracing the camera, not my head. </p>

<p>The further away from your body your hands are, the less control you have over their position (and stability).</p>
