Contax T2 Flash

<p>I just got a Contax T2, and I was wondering, if it's normal that the flash needs that long to charge.<br>

My previous P&S camera, Yashica T3, needed a second or so to charge the flash. Is it normal that the Contax needs about 10 seconds? <br>

<p>I do not recall that it took especially long. I do recall however that the T2 is notorious for its flash overpowering the subject at close distances, not that this is relevant. Apart from this small flaw if I cna even call it that its a superb camera with lens that is fabulous.</p>

<p>When I had mine, it didn't. Did you try a new battery?</p>

<p>I just tried a different battery, and it's definetely faster now. Still not very fast, but much better.<br>

I really didn't know that a low battery effects charging time of the flash. Thanks.</p>

<p>I have both Contax T2 and T3, T2 has slightly more powerful flash then T3. The recycle time<br>

of both is certainly not as fast as dedicate flash for SLR, but acceptable.<br>

In manual mode, Contax T2 is a rangefinder, you can rotate the distance dial to focus and measure distance, this is an interesting feature not present on T3.</p>
