which lens to get?

<p>Hey guys i need some advice and opinions about which lens to get. So far i have 16-35mm f/2.8L, 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM , and a 85mm f/1.8. Im stuck in between getting a 24-70 f/2.8L or a 50mm f/1.2L.<br>

what do you guys think?</p>

<p>It really depends on what you want to shoot.<br>

Assuming you shoot a lot with your 5D, the 50mm F/1.2L could become your favorite if you shoot in a lot low light situations.</p>

<p>But if you prefer to cover all your focal ranges then get the 24-70 because that's the only focal range where you aren't covered yet.</p>

 

<p>Seems like you have everythign you could need there, though the 50 1.2 might be useful for VERY low light.</p>

<p>I liked the 50, but not on a FF. I now have the Sigma 50 and find it to be comparable in most ways. Try one.</p>

<p>If I were you, I would get the 24-70 for range considerations, but I did not have any luck with my copy on my 5D's. YMMV.</p>

I like the idea of the 24-70. Since you have a full framed camera I also like the 85 for portraits. The cool thing about the lenses you already have is they take the same filter size, so you don't have to spend a ton of money on quality filters, they are all 77mm rings.

With your current setup, I reckon the 24-70L, and if you still want a 'normal' lens, I'd get the 50 f/1.4 in lieu of the f/1.2L.
