jim_devlin
Here's the results of my Wal-Mart Kodachrome test.

Dropped off a roll of Kodachrome 200-36 on Monday April 20th in the pickup box at my local store. Envelope was marked as usual - 'X' checked in the Special Instructions box, with the message 'SLIDE FILM - K-14 PROCESSING ONLY' written with a Sharpie marker.

Yesterday (Friday May 1st), I received a call from a young lady at the photo department to inform me that 'your slides are ready to be picked up'. Yes, there is at least one Wal-Mart employee who knows what slide film is. Total cost - $7.43.
joshroot
That reminds me, I got a call yesterday from my local walmart and they have my film there. I just have forgotten to go get it due to a sick baby.

So, not including the "dropped in wrong box" 5-day mistake, it took about 10 days through wal-mart.
r.t. dowling
Have you gotten your slides yet? How did they turn out? Inquiring minds want to know! Come on Josh... we're all waiting for you to tell us how you've had a change of heart and that Wally World is your new best friend... ;-)
joshroot
I'm not going to tell you that Wally World is my best friend. But I will say that my slides came back safe and sound at a cost of $22.39 for three rolls (inc tax).
