Taj Mahal Without People

Andy, you should go for a full fledged PPL!

I saw your other photographs, you've got the same taste in pictures that would benefit from a few thuosand feet of altitude. Right now I'm trying to think of a rig that would point my camera out of a Cessna 172 and not capturing the wings or their struts.:)

PS Don't try this over the Taj!!! Haha

I followed this thread for a while as I was soon departing for Rajasthan and only had a night in Agra. What we did was actually watch the sunset on Day 1 from the other side of the Yamuna as the Taj was overly crowded, and then see the sunrise on Day 2 inside the Taj area.

I managed to have a picture with no one on it. We stood up at the gate from 6:30am (opens at 7am / 7:15am). There were about 30 people waiting, but I was the third one. Once it opens, you pass the first gate to a first area, and have to pass a second gate from which you discover the Taj. Most people stoped here (about 600 yards from the Taj), but there is an intermediate elevated "pool" about 300 yards from the Taj and I went directly there to get my shots. See below. Used a neutral density filter 0.9 and a mini tripod (not allowed ....) that was hidden in my cam bag.
