patrick j dempsey
No Vivek, I wanna see the CAMERA and LENS. :) Yeah I can believe 1/6s handheld, I've gone down to 1/4s with my OM1 and a 24mm lens, but it's really iffy, and this little guy lacks a mirror and has a much smaller shutter, so handheld speeds should be a little lower than what you can usually pull on a full-frame SLR... if you can hold onto it tight enough! harvey_edelstein1
Is that using a Novaflex adapter?
vivek iyer
No adapters are available anywhere, yet. I made my own adapters (plural). I can't wait for the commercial ones. (>>Note: These are for my own personal use and I have no inclination to make any for anyone<<)
paul_jansen1
Hey Vivek, I don't suppose you'd be willing to tell us how you make those adaptors, or point to a good website that shows how to do it?
w_r2
Hi, here is a G1 with Xenon 0.95/50mm http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3227/3070964134_0b05bd468b_o.jpg
matt_tompsett
Hi all,
here's some test shots using the Panasonic G1 - both lenses.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/stonedf/sets/72157613401202709/
Love it so far. I do find the colours are a bit too natural but can't complain for the price (£600 for body and BOTH lenses minus £50 cashback from Panasonic when product registered). I don't think I could find anything much better than this for that price.
When I say the colours are a bit too natural I mean they are correct. The colours I see are what I get but, because I've got used to my beloved Mamiya 6 and Provia 100F colour pos film, I am being a little harsh. I haven't tried all the film settings yet but 'vibrant' may give it more of a filmy look and I have been experimenting a bit with the RAW files in Silkypix which is the software that arrives with the camera.
With the smaller of the two lenses on I can't even tell I've got the thing round my neck, it's that light! I wouldn't recommend dropping it though as unlike a lot of the bigger DSLRs I think it would smash into a thousand pieces on impact.
The menus and controls are excellent and very easy to use. Any and all settings can be reached in less than a few seconds which makes adjusting for a shot easy peasy.

Anyway, waffling on. See what you think.

Matt
