jenni k. - vancouver, b.c.
Destination wedding May 8, '08 in Poppi, Italy. Nikon D200, 24-70mm f2.8
B&G returning to reception leading a honking line of cars from the ceremony out of town and up to the villas. There's actually a driver in this car, his head is behind the groom. I chose the spot and went ahead to wait so the red poppies would be in this series of images.
I don't recall my settings but the only post- adjustment is a slight bump in contrast.
Happy 2009 everybody!

marcin harla
I don't know if it's my best, but one of my favorites for sure.
Canon 5d, 24 1.4 ISO100, f/9@1/250 (pushed my shutter sync a bit), off side flash to illuminate the bride, metered to underexpose the sky by 2.5 stops. We were just about to leave for the ceremony, I looked outside seeing some stormy clouds forming and it looked like a good opportunity.

greg jansen
Here's one that just kind of sticks with me. Not your typical contest type image, but one that I think shows the tension couples experience. I think hands can be very expressive. studio5nine
I love shooting weddings. With one exception... Catholic weddings. But it isn't for what you may think. My beef is dealing with the Priest. Everyone has different rules when it comes to flash photography. At this particular wedding I was allowed to use flash photography but I wasn't allowed to bring in my studio lights to shoot portraits after the wedding. For some reason the Priest at this particular site was so adamant about not using my studio lights it almost caused me to forfeit the shoot. Murphys Law. I couldn't stand that guy and of all the dang weddings I've shot I get one of the most memorable shots in my port.
Shot with a Minolta 9xi with Fuji Reala 100
