ken_max__parks
Kelly,
SHQ will give you a 1:2.7 compression ratio with 3648 x 2736 pixels
RAW has no compression and the pixel count can be adjusted.
All of this can be found in the E-510 Instruction Manual, pp 52-53

ken_max__parks
Yes, Kelly, the other choices of SQ and HQ have selections for the compression ratio.

If you see that your E-510 is set for SQ and want to make it SHQ, then you can use either the Control Panel screen or the Menu screen to implement the change.

Again, it's all on pp 52-53 of your E-510 Instruction Manual. If you don't have a manual, you can find the pdf file here:

http://www.olympus.co.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/download/manual/esystem/man_e510_e.pdf
