pixel count and compression explained

<p>can anyone give me the skinny on this? i have a e510, always shoot on shq or raw. what should the pixel count and compression be? (i see this under menu/SQ) I have read some posts on it, but its a little vague, and it takes me a while to get things, lol..thanks</p>

SHQ will give you a 1:2.7 compression ratio with 3648 x 2736 pixels<br>

RAW has no compression and the pixel count can be adjusted.<br>

All of this can be found in the E-510 Instruction Manual, pp 52-53</p>

<p>Yes, Kelly, the other choices of SQ and HQ have selections for the compression ratio.</p>

<p>If you see that your E-510 is set for SQ and want to make it SHQ, then you can use either the Control Panel screen or the Menu screen to implement the change.<br>
