zac_sanders
I got a epson 1400 printer today and ive been working on it and when i do black and whites they look terrible. Ihave some Harman ink jet Matt warm tone so i printed on it and i know its warm tone but the printed picture wasall brown virtually no black and the shadows when all brown and you can not even make out the shadows. Then iprinted the same picture on some epson premium glossy paper and the picture went blue and looks terrible. cansomeone tell me what im doing wrong or have any tips get a better black and white. I know this isnt the bestprinter for B&W but i expect better results than i am getting. I can scan the prints if you want to see them.thanks
steven_clark
Obligatory questions: What are your driver settings? Are you using color profiles? If so what settings are you using for them?

zac_sanders
May i ask what are driver settings? Im just using the espon standard color profile cause im still learning. Then i tried the harman inkjet profile for the paper i have and that just made the results worse
