Panasonic G-1,a nice idea that's flawed?

Harvey, sure, but 15 still becomes a very small 30. And 35 or 50 turns to a small nice and fast portrait lens. I would get one or two original lenses as well, but the idea is to make use of the lenses we already have. That was the main reason for me to get into the 4/3 system in the first place. Leica M lenses are pretty expensive to lie around unused. Would be nice to have a compact digital body to be able to make more use of them.

I agree especially since nobody seems to be coming up with an cost effective alternative to the super expensive and lacking M8. I would likely get the wide end zoom something like a 7-14mm.

Interesting to hear a non-photographer's comments on the G1 ...
