peter_naylor1
Folks - following an earlier thread on the mysterious "Soligor TM" 35mm SLR, a lady has contacted me asking if I still had the original IB for this rather uncommon variant of the "Miranda TM". Well, I do, so I've scanned the 32 pages and emailed them to her. Before I eventually wipe them, I'd be happy to email them to anybody else interested. The scans are in JPEG format and total file size is 4.7 MBs. So, either post here with your email address or contact me at pnaylor@iinet.net.au. For those unfamiliar with either the Soligor TM or its more common Miranda TM cousin, it's basically a 1970s Sensomat with an M42 thread lens mount replacing the usual Miranda bayonet mount. For some reason neither version (nor the even rarer Pallas TM one) is listed in McK's, but there are some details in the Miranda Historical Society's website at www.mirandacamera.com. I'm attaching a reduced-wize version of the scan of the IB front page, so you can see what a Soligor TM looks like. papy_g1
Your IB interrests me, but my TM is somewhat unusual, it seems that it is a TM II, but still marked TM. It has top sensitivity of 6400ASA, an internal back locking system, and a cold shoe on the prism. I wrote a text about it for collection-appareils.com, it will be online soon. I would be happy debating with you about different variants, i'll send you a mail soon if you don't send me one first.
