Resizing tool for Windows XP

Does anyone know a link for the resizing tool in windows XP so that I do not have to over crop my pictures to be

uploaded onto Photo.net. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll likely want an image of viewer of some sort besides what's included in windows. They typically include a resize function.

If you have Microsoft Office, then you have Picture Manager, a handy picture editor.

Irfanview is free, light, fast and absolutely glutter free. It can use lanczos for resizing which seems to be doing good job and there's also batch conversion. I've used it for years.

Thank you all for the help. I use a few tools to crop but the XP Powertools was the tool that I was looking for which I read about previously. Thanks so much for everyone that posted to this thread.

Another vote for Irfanview. I use it often when I need to downsize a hi-res file to "screen-size".

 

Getting the sharpening to look good requires a bit of playing around, but once you get it right the "Sharpen" menu item works like a charm.

Great advice. I needed something like this as well. Sometimes it pays to surf. :-)
