Leroy_Photography
Thanks, Will. I'll give your suggestion a try. I can't say I've ever gone over ISO 1600, but will try. What kind of noise reduction software do you use? Kenneth, how'd you shoot your HS football? What was your set-up?
will king
There are tons of noise reduction filters you can buy. I only use it when I absolutely have to and at ISO3200 and ISO6400, I need to. I use Noise Ninja. You'll find that even at high ISOs, if you get your exposure right in camera, you will get less noise with a lower ISO and trying to lighten it in post. Also consider that noise can be fixed, blur cannot.

Leroy_Photography
You did pretty good for your first football shoot, Joey. As far as posting several shots at once, I think most of the boys use flickr or photo bucket. I'm like you--always amazed by the photographers who post weekly. I'm glad everyone contributes. daniel_harris
Laura, I teach at a high school and am a sports junkie, so it's easy to get photographs each week. I just photograph my students, past and present. :) They love seeing themselves.
Leroy_Photography
Daniel, I understand where you're coming from. I got into shooting high school sports for my son. He and his friends liked having photos to post on Facebook. He's now in college and if they're playing close to home, he invites me to the game--not in order to see me, but so I'll bring my camera and take pictures! LOL! But I LOVE photographing baseball, so I don't mind. I'm still the "unofficial team photographer" for our high school because the kids and parents love pictures (and I adore the kids). I have a small website that I post the photos to. I sell them cheap. All profits go to the high school's athletic department. The lighting is difficult for football and volleyball, but I'm getting better and am glad that Photo.Net is here to push me to improve.
