Lone Watie was the character played by the incomparable Chief Dan George in "The Outlaw Josie Wales." He always infused his characters with a sensibility and humor that appeals to my personal philosophy and spiritualism. Some folks would call it zen. I dunno. The droplet of Murkin Indian in me says it's not quite zen, but something else. Some photographers try to literally shoot through a piece of rock candy. They'll use soft focus lenses, tilt and shift to skew perspective and DOF. I like photography that seems skewed without having to resort to gimmicks. Tho' I'm not averse to gimmicks.
