DickArnold
I know. It's a Swan. However, it's a cousin of a duck.

david richhart
The duck in the photo I submitted turned out to not be a duck at all ;0( Since I don't seem to have a "real duck" picture ready to upload I would like to remind you all of possibly the greatest duck poem ever written. From The Bad Parents' Garden of Verses, published 1936
"The Duck", by Ogden Nash
.
Behold the duck.
It does not cluck.
A cluck it lacks.
It quacks.
It is specially fond
Of a puddle or pond.
When it dines or sups,
It bottoms ups.
duane_mills
Excellent thread Javier. So many superb shots it's impossible to pick out a favorite. That being said there are a few that are simply extraordinary. Matt's "ex-duck", Dave's "headless duck" (love the image quality from the DA* 300mm), Brad's "mallard", William's "wild looking duck", Daniel's "low angle" and Michael's action shots. Terrific work by all. Thanks for sharing.
