brian_reitz
I'm trying to find a person who can repair the rangefinder in my Hexar RF in or around Manhattan. Would anyone happen to know a reputable person? Thanks in advance
aizan_sasayama
did a search on rff, and this turned up:
Nippon Photoclinic, Inc.
920 Broadway
New York, NY 10010
(212) 982-3177
stuart_richardson
They are excellent -- fast, competent and reasonably priced.
skip_williams
Isn't Konica in Bergen County, NJ?
stuart_richardson
Unfortunately, Konica isn't in existence at all. It merged with Minolta, and then that folded and was integrated into Sony.
stuart_richardson
I should say the camera division...everything else is still there...
orvillerobertson
Another vote for Nippon Photo Clinic. They CLA'd my Hexar RF and did a great job. They only service Japanese cameras.
ray .
Kinda cool people still using the Hexar RF. Why is the question. ;)
paul t
It means sending it away, but the acknowledged expert on the Hexar RF is Greg Weber: www.webercamera.com
stuart_richardson
Actually Orville, they service other cameras too. Maybe not all, but they did work on my M3 in the past, and I saw a guy picking up his Rolleiflex TLR, so they do those two at least.
brian_reitz
Thanks a lot everyone. I'm going to give Nippon Photoclinic a call.
joel_sackett
My RF stopped working with the #11 flashing in the LCD. Sent it to Greg Weber who held onto it for a long time trying to locate parts. That didn't happen so he sent the camera back to me. I sent it to Sony in Japan and they repaired it for $200. That was facilitated by a friend in Tokyo and I'm not even sure if they deal with outside Japan repairs? My experience with Nippon Camera was a dozen years ago with an M6 and I wasn't pleased with that repair, but sorry can't remember the details.
