I've become dependent on AE

Recommended Posts

The batteries died in my M7 a couplr of weeks ago and I have yet to find

replacements in Doha, so I have to use my M6. It's definitly slower than the M7. I

don't think I ever used meter manual with the M7. I'm sooo ashamed. 8>{

I decided to exercise my 50, from my 'normal' 35 this weekend (Fri/Sat here) and the 1.25X mag. doesn't fit into the M6's eyepiece. Did something fall out? I see threads, but the diameter of the eyepiece is larger my a couple of mm. Why?

Instead of the two CR1/3N batteries you can use four SR44 or four LR44 batteries. You should easily be able to find those in Doha.

I was last in Doha in 1978. I expect the city has changed a little since then. ;-)

I find the AE in the M7 extremely useful. I feel I had gotten shots otherwise would have missed if I had used another second to fiddle about with exposure on an M6. For unmetered bodies like the M4 I tend not to worry too much about exposure and just guess.
