HP B9180 - not putting the proper scale on paper

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help. I'm using a HP B9180 and the HP add-in in

Photoshop CS2 for printing. I have a 8x10 photo I want to print as a 8x10 on a

sheet of HP Advance Glossy 8.5x11 sheet of paper. I understand that there should

be .25" on the tops and bottoms and .5" on either side when I choose No Scaling.

However, what comes out of my printer each and every time is a full scale

borderless print. Though it looks good, it's not what I want. I've printed at least 6

sheets trying different options and I still get the same thing.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get the printer to print an 8x10 print on a

8.5x11 sheet?

Thanks.

In CS2, go to the last column and click on 'resize image.' Enter your 8x10 in the proper boxes then click on 'print.' That takes you to the 9180 screen. Go to preferences and click on the 8.5x11 paper size and set color space, etc. Then click 'print.' You will get your print the way you want it.

Yay! Finally got it working the way it's supposed to. In CS2 I clicked on file/page setup, chose the printer, then properties, then chose the appropriate settings, making sure that Print Preview wasn't clicked, then pressed okay. Then I clicked file/Print and printed. Here I was thinking that the HP add-in was the be-all-fix-all add-in and all it did was drive me batty. Thanks for your assistance Constance and your suggestion Mendel.
