wedding-photography-denver
Giselle, I have no interest in shooting your wedding but want to forewarn you of the many brides who book people based on $$$ and regret it later. Not that lower priced photogs don't do a good job, but if often follows that there is a reason for their price. Check the photogs references for some added security. Ask if you can speak to the last three brides. Just a suggestion. Best, D.

musubi1000
David W has some good advice. Save today pay for it later. Everything in a wedding (flowers, venue, dj, food, ect.) is good for a day but the photos will (should) last for years.
roseberry guitars
I'm not a wedding photog but I can tell you for sure follow David W.'s advice. I've been to two weddings in the last while that the couple "cheaped out" on the "Professional" and are regretting it at this moment and will be fo a long time to come. The first couple has been in contact with all of us family that were shooting pic's as the pro screwed up so bad they basically have no useable material. The other couple's pro shot hundreds of very boring, uninspired "fluff" that has no appeal for them. Again they are also appealing to family and friends to save the day. Both couples had checked their photographers portfolio (and loved it, I might add...) before hand but had not asked for references. Low price was the deciding factor. If you are on a limited budget I highly recommend cutting somewhere else. For example (as a retired Executive Chef, who has catered untold weddings I cannot believe I'm telling your this but), as much as people think about the importance of the wedding banquet, no-one will remember next week what was on the menu. As long as it is fresh, tasty, hot when it should be hot and cold when it should be cold all will be happy with what you present. Those photos that aren't up to your expectations will be a daily reminder for life.
thomas_hardy1
A mini epidemic of people joining Pnet to look for and also complain about low cost photography services.
harris_goldstein1
The OP asked about "reasonable prices" in the LA area. A few responses assume that means cheap, with no thought as to quality and reliability. Perhaps that's the case, but I think it's unfair to make that assumption based on the original post. It could just as well be someone who is setting expectations. Hardly fair, without further info, to brand this person as "joining Pnet to look for and also complain about low cost photography services". No point in kicking tires at the Rolls dealer if you're on a Ford budget. I assume there's a wide range of prices/services in the LA area that would fall into the categories of cheap to reasonable to expensive to high end celebrity. At least David W and Omega were constructive.
